One of the first things I would recommend for getting great curls that last all day is buying a thermal or locking spray to start the process. These types of sprays are readily available in salons and even your local pharmacy. These products will protect your hair and ‘lock in the curls. (Redken Heat Styling, Amazon.com, $21)

Next, you need to decide on what type of curls you want and what type of device you’re going to use. From spiral, to large loops, to more of a wave; different tools give different results.

Flat Iron (2)
Take a flat iron and swishing your hair around it. This will give a great spiral to your hair and produce fairy tale like curls. (Babyliss PRO Nano Titanium 1″ U Styler, Folica.com, $129.99)

Curling Iron (3)

Double Barrel Curling Iron (4)

Deadlines, appointments, and daily obligations are all things in life that are unfortunately unavoidable. With stress from work, school, or a combination of the two it can be hard to find time to even think about all of the things you need to accomplish. However, there is one simple thing that can greatly help to ease your daily stress, clear your mind and give you uninterrupted time to think about your day. What is that simple thing you might ask? Take a daily walk!

Read on and discover why scheduling time into your day for a short (or long) walk can help get you back on track.

A Morning Stroll

Although not all mornings allow you the extra time to take a quick morning walk, but there are some mornings where this is possible. Maybe your morning meeting got canceled. Perhaps you woke up before your alarm. No matter what the circumstances of your early morning consist of, we urge you to take the extra time and head out for a morning walk. The morning is a great time to prepare yourself for the day ahead. So next time you find yourself with some free morning time, fix a cup of coffee, grab the dog leash or just throw on some tennis shoes and take a short walk. Your day (and your mind) will thank you for it!

A Post-Work Breather

After a day of stressful moments, a strong adult beverage might seem extremely appealing. While there are some days where heading to happy hour after work is completely understandable, we have another (healthier) suggestion. After you arrive home from work or school take a moment to unload, change out of your work clothes, and then head out for a short walk! Avoid getting on your computer, or continuing your workload right after arriving home. Take a short walk around your neighborhood and give your mind some time to relax. You will find that upon returning home from your walk, you are relaxed and ready to work.

An Evening Walk

If you are unable to take the time for a morning or afternoon walk, then make plans to take a walk once your day completely winds down. We recommend heading out for a walk after eating dinner. This will not only help to clear your mind, but it will also help to digest your meal.  An evening walk is a great time to wind down and prepare for the next day. Evening walks are also great times to spend some uninterrupted time with your family. Urge everyone to leave their electronics at home and head out for a family walk. This is a great time to catch up on everyone’s day, and it is a great way to exercise as a family!

No matter what time of day you choose, take a little time to go on a short (or long) walk. You will notice a large difference in your daily stress levels, and you will have something to look forward to each day!

Every woman’s hair type is unique with different sensitivities to different products, and hair products that are all-inclusive don’t actually work for every woman. What’s the point of spending too much money on a product that doesn’t even work for your hair type? To save yourself from spending unnecessarily, invest in homemade beauty products that will work. Send in reinforcements for an itchy scalp, frizzy strands or oily hair with these homemade hair care tips and don’t spend more than a couple of bucks—at the most!

All Hair Types-Conditioner

Beat two eggs and cover your hair and scalp completely. If this isn’t enough egg, just beat some more to use. Make sure your hair and scalp are covered in the egg mixture. Leave it on for 20 minutes. Rinse with cool water and shampoo. Don’t use this treatment more than once a month.

Frizz

Mash up one half of an avocado and mix with one to two tablespoons of sour cream. Massage into clean, damp hair and let sit for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water. This treatment can be used once every two weeks.

Itchy Scalp

Mix two tablespoons of lemon juice, two tablespoons of water and two tablespoons of olive oil together. Massage into a damp scalp, and let it sit for 20 minutes. Rinse and shampoo your hair. You can apply this treatment once every week.

Oily Hair

Pour one tablespoon of cornstarch into an empty salt or pepper shaker. Shake the powder onto your head until it is gone. Let it sit for 10 minutes, then use a hairbrush to brush it out completely. For this treatment, you can use it every other day.

The crop top–a woman’s worst nightmare. Not everyone has abs like Rihanna or Diane Kruger’s slender figure, but guess what ladies, you too can bare your mid drift with class!

Rule #1

When showing some skin, cover up your belly button! Exposing your entire mid section can be viewed as tasteless. Showing off a small amount of abs while leaving the rest to the imagination is a much sexier yet still classy option.

Teen heart throb, Selena Gomez pulls off the crop top fad with ease at the 2012 Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards in a two-piece Dolce Gabbana outfit.

Rule #2

Don’t be afraid to go girly! Usually when you think crop top, you think urban wear. While this may be your style and can look super cute in the right setting, it can also make you look like a hip-hop wannabe or ’80s fashion victim. Try floral prints, lace or bustier tops.

Rule #3

Short on top can mean long on bottom! If you are a little more on the modest side, maybe your perfect cropped look involves a longer skirt or high waisted pants. We love Miley Cyrus’ Emilio Pucci black, sheer and lace combination. Miley Cyrus’ bustier top is sexy, but some edge is taken off from the longer skirt.

Polka dot jeans and denim shirts have been in season and are sticking around for more. This flirty, feminine trend is easy to do at home, saves a chunk of change, and makes for a fun girl’s day. Follow the instructions below to your own pair of polka dot denim jeans!

What you need:

• Jeans
• Fabric paint (color of your choice)
• Round cap (a circle to use for your stencil)
• Paper plate
• Small paint brush

What you do:

1. Pour a small circle of paint onto your plate. Using a paper towel, practice dipping your cap (or other circle used for a stencil) into the paint and pressing the stencil to create a polka dot.
2. Once you’ve gotten comfortable, place the jeans on a flat surface, and using the paint and cap, polka dot your jeans going down each side top to bottom. You can create patterns to group your polka dots or put them all over.
3. Use the paint brush to go back over the polka dots that need some more paint or touching up.

4. Let the polka dotted side of your jeans dry completely. Then turn them over and repeat steps 2 and 3 on the other side.
5. Let the jeans dry completely.

Many women overlook one of the best thermal styling tools on the market today: hot rollers! They are an easy, fast, safe way to create sexy, gorgeous waves, or, to just add some volume, and they work on EVERY hair texture.

How to Use Hot Rollers

Endless Beauty sought Stephanie Scuoppo, hairstylist at Miano Viel Salon & Spa in midtown Manhattan, New York to find out how this highly underrated product to get irresistible, bouncy, sexy hair with hot rollers. Here is Stephanie Scuoppo’s hot rollers tutorial:

There are two main types of hot roller categories; steam and core heat. Product companies today have taken things further and have added tourmaline, ionic anti frizz coatings as well to keep up with all consumer needs. Some companies carry all one size as well, eliminating sizes you won’t use, as well as having additional sizes available in packs of two for additional purchase.

Let’s begin by choosing which type is best for you….

Steam rollers are great for very fine hair as well as multi-cultural hair textures. Steam creates pliability in the hair resulting in a smooth, shiny long-lasting finish, with firm curls.

Core heat rollers are good for most hair textures. I recommend purchasing the ones with a smooth, flocked coating rather than the ones with the little spiky pieces for the most professional, modern finish.  Expect soft curls. These are great for frequent users.

Now, the methods!! One note: layered hair works best for all wavy looks.

How to Use Hot Rollers

To achieve volume at the roots and soft curls on the lengths of hair:

Step 1: Start off with clean dry hair for the best result. You may use a light styling product to dry hair if you like.

Step 2: Use the largest diameter rollers for the top. Using a tail comb or your fingers, take a section of hair at the top of the crown the approximate size of the roller. Pull section towards the front of head, lay roller on top of hair about midway, and wind hair around roller, then wind down toward scalp wrapping away from face. Secure with roller clip. The next section is the hair closest to face and may include bangs.  If the bangs are too short or you prefer them straight, don’t include in the roller.
Repeat the instructions above wrapping away from the face. Secure with clip.

Step 3: Add one more large roller on each side of crown, wrapping toward back of head.

Step 4: By now you should have all remaining hair left out. Using the small or medium roller (depending on length, texture, desired look), take a section of hair the approximate size of the roller and wrap hair  from ends to middle of section, not all the way to the head. (You might want to use end papers for a more professional finish) you may hold roller vertically and wind hair around roller in a spiral effect.

Step 5: Let hair cool for about 10-15 minutes. Carefully remove clips and unwind hair gently from rollers one at a time. Hair must be completely cool before playing with it or touching it or the curls will not last.

Step 6: Using a comb or your fingers, arrange hair however you like.

Here is an easier way to achieve a similar effect: Using the largest roller, take the front section of hair and wind hair away from the face. Put the rest of your hair in one or two ponytails at the crown, one under the other, and using the small/medium rollers, just set the pony tail. Let cool and remove and finish as above.

Let’s face it, there can be good workdays, and there can be bad ones. While the good days can make you feel as if you were on top of the world, the bad ones can really take a toll both mentally and physically. Whether you’ve had a long day at work, or even a long week, we have some soothing tips to help you relax and unwind.

Light a Scented Candle

There is something cozy and warm about the flickering light that a candle creates. We suggest purchasing a candle with a scent like lavender or vanilla as the aromas they give off can help with the reduction of stress and anxiety. Light one or more around your home and try to use at little artificial light as possible, not only does this further relax your senses, but it can help lower your electricity bills too!

Take a Bubble Bath

Sometimes there is nothing more appealing than a hot bubble bath after what seemed like  a never-ending day. What’s the trick to getting the full effect of the relaxing hot water and bubbles? Start running your bath right when you get home! Leave your work problems at the door (literally) and start running your bath. Add the bubble bath of your choice, pour a glass of wine (or hot tea), light a candle, sink into the bubbles, and enjoy! Once you are done with your bath, you will step out feeling refreshed and relaxed.

Take a Walk

Taking a walk can be a great way to relax after a long day, especially if the weather is nice. Toss on your comfy tennis shoes, grab your pup, and head out for a walk around your neighborhood. We recommend leaving all electronics at home, as they can be distracting and serve as a portable link to unwanted stresses such as work emails.

Clean

You may be a bit astonished at this tip, but keep in mind it’s not for everyone. However, some of us out there believe it or not, actually enjoy cleaning. Cleaning can give us a sense of control that at times can be pretty lacking in the work environment. In addition, cleaning can help the mind relax by eliminating eyesores like dirty dishes and other messes that can add to stress during the busy workweek.

So go ahead and relax, you deserve it!

Who would have thought that your favorite pair of clothing from the second grade would have a comeback? Well, you better believe it, because overalls can give you a variety of looks depending on how you style them.

Dry shampoo is a summer hair care must-have. If you haven’t tried dry shampoo, you’re missing out on a great quick fix. It can help refresh your hair and give you an instant volume boost when you’re short on time or can’t shower (like when you’re camping). If you already use dry shampoo, you know what I mean; it has saved my life on many occasions!  

We talked with Don Bewley, founder of Eufora International to get answers to the most frequently asked questions about dry shampoo. This Q&A should help you make the most of dry shampoo.

What is dry shampoo and how is it different from traditional shampoo?
Dry shampoo is typically a powder-type formula that absorbs excess dirt and oil, leaving the hair looking and feeling less greasy and oily. Traditional shampoos remove excess dirt and oils, where as dry shampoos just disguise them. Many dry shampoos add texture and body to second day hair.

What are the benefits of using dry shampoo?
It can extend the life of your style or color because you won’t need to shampoo or heat style as often. Also, skipping thermal and heat styling for a day or two by using a dry shampoo instead, will help decrease damage to the hair since we all know that heat styling can be very damaging to the hair cuticle. Also, another great benefit of using a dry shampoo is it absorbs excess oil and dirt while adding texture to your hair. It’s a great tool to use in between a work out and a night out on the town since it instantly refreshes hair.

What is the best way to use dry shampoo?
Each one is different, some are sprayed on and some are sprinkled in. Apply to the root, comb through and repeat if necessary. The frequency of use is dependent on various factors. How often do you work out? How oily is your hair? How often do you shampoo your hair?

What if you have dark hair? I’ve tried some dry shampoos and it left my hair looking gray and flaky.
This depends on the type of powder used for absorption and how much is used in the hair that can give the appearance of graying. I recommend starting out light and then layering more, if needed.

Tip: Some dry shampoos are like a spray texturizer, (try Eufora’s Touch Up Texturizing Dry Shampoo) and a great way to refresh hair styles for the woman on-the-go.
