Skintimate--or not? We all remember the classic Skintimate Shave Gel commercials, right? Long-legged women walking around with either legs that are silky smooth or covered in band-aids. Of course, the women with legs of silk were the ones who used Skintimate and those with band-aids were the ones who favored a regular bar of soap.

I have personally always used soap or a little conditioner for my shaving needs. However, I have always wondered what all of the hype around shave gel is all about. Does it really produce better results than a simple bar of soap or a little bit of conditioner? I can proudly say, “Yes!” I tried the Skintimate Moisturizing Shave Gel in the Signature Scent—Flirty Mango.

As I went to apply the shave gel I noticed that I did not smell the scent of mango. However, once I began to create lather by rubbing in the gel to my skin, my bathroom was filled with the smell of mangoes. The gel created a wonderfully thick lather which I loved. As I began to shave I noticed that I could keep track of the areas of my leg which I had shaved (perfect for avoiding a missed area of skin). Once I was done shaving it was time for the real test, were my legs smoother? Yes! Not only were they smoother, they did not feel dried out. This can be credited to Skintimate’s Flirty Mango Ingredients: olive butter, Vitamin E, and Pro-Vitamin B5 moisturizers which help keep skin smooth and soft. So, Skintimate--or not? I vote Skintimate!
